My icebreak in YZU TMC

I get a lot of things to say now, how should i start it????

I put a lot of efforts on my icebreak and it turned out to be a great speech at last, my members said. Frankie, you did a very great job, you are so great!!!

I put a lot of skills in this speech, which impressed my members a lot. Be a entertaining speaker is my emphasis on this speech and also one of our club features, humorous and easygoing.

Show and tell(Picture, handbook of CCU, my army clothes), dramatize(a very hardworking and dumb student), singing(no matter what), body language and vocal variety is all I used in this speech.

"How to make your next talk a great talk" It is a very useful article from The Studio Classroom which helps my speech a lot. It is a very short article but every word counts.

Teacher, my army friend, winny, carol, thanks for helping my speech. I felt very gratful.

However, i found i still have a lot to improve after i finished my speech. I forgot one important line about my vow to our club and it is one funny thing in my speech, too bad. >_< Also, i am sooooooo nervous that i was tooooooo serious. I was sooooo far from humor but i will try my best to learn.

How can i make my members to burst out laughing? I am not good at this job. I like to laugh but have a difficulty to make others laugh.......

Finally, i need to tell the toastmasters of the day about my speech, how it will begin and go, so I will have a good-qulity speech.

It is all my review about my first speech, hopefully i will improve my skill next time.

Luna's words

Dear YZUers,

When I collected those photos taken in the past 4 years, there were several times, I just couldn’t help but bursting my tears for I couldn’t imagine how I might be if I have never been a member of YZU TMC!

When reflecting those fabulous moments, my heart is full of appreciation. I deeply thank those who once inspired me on my way to experiencing what Toastmasters is. For this, I do cherish what I have stored in my mind and decide to share with you what moved me so much in the past years. Pls. enjoy the beautiful moment with me by taking a look at those splendid photos we have taken together!

Let us stay together to be stronger!

Jack's words (motivation)

Dear YZUers,

How are you doing! Greeting from Jack Tsai. Time flies! After 4 years.. YZU TMC has made a 180 degree turnaround. It 's like an ugly caterpilliar could turn into a beautiful butterfly. Enthusiasm and despair are both infectious. If you are more enthusiastic about your life, the more enthusiastic you will find in it. As a Toastmasters we learned to motivate the members toward achieving their personal goals. It's not like delivering a speech, but establishing a contact between soul& soul, in which will catapult you from goal-setting to goal-getting, from the chump to champ. The duty & responsibility to our members is to be clear about where you are headed. To give is to receive, we learned to treat club officers or members as you would wish to be treated. To keep the spirit of Toastmasters International that is integrity, dedication to excellence, service to our members & respect the individuals.

To dream everthing you want to dream, to do everything you want to do. When you reach the dream, the dream will reach you, your dream will be your possibility. Whatever goals you set for personal growth, make it your mission to be the best that you can be while helping others to be the best they can be.
